Botox® & Anti-Wrinkle Injections in Vancouver
Subtle, strategic neuromodulator treatments with Botox®, Dysport®, and Nuceiva®.
The face moves, and over time that movement shows. If that’s something you’ve been thinking about, the consultation is where we start. People come in with all kinds of goals, and the right first step is always a conversation rather than a booking.
At your consultation, a licensed injector looks at your features, listens to what you’re hoping for, and talks you through whether a neuromodulator is a sensible option for you. We define the goal together, in person, and we’ll be honest if a different approach would suit you better, or if the answer is to do nothing for now.
We’re in Fairview, a block from Kitsilano.
Take the time you need. What are Botox® and neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are injectable treatments that use botulinum toxin to temporarily soften muscle activity in targeted areas of the face. At FaceCrime, we work with three options, and which one suits you is decided with a licensed injector at your consultation:
- Botox® is the most widely known and extensively studied neuromodulator.
- Dysport® is known for a slightly quicker onset and a lighter spread. There is more on our Dysport in Vancouver page.
- Nuceiva® is a newer option with a clean, precise finish.
No single one of these is better than the others in every case. The right choice depends on your features, your goals, and how your body tends to respond, which is exactly what we work through together before anything is decided.

What to expect at your consultation
Every treatment at FaceCrime starts with a conversation. A licensed injector looks at your features, listens to what you are hoping for, and talks you through whether a neuromodulator is a sensible option for you. We define the goal together, in person.
We will be honest if a different approach would suit you better, or if the right answer is to do nothing for now. There is no pressure to book a treatment on the day. Many people use the consultation simply to understand their options and decide in their own time.
If you are new to Botox in Vancouver, this is the part that matters most, because a considered plan is what keeps results looking natural rather than overdone.
What the treatment is like
The appointment itself is quick, usually 15 to 30 minutes depending on the areas being treated. The injections use a very fine needle, and most people find any discomfort minimal and brief. There is little to no downtime for most, and many return to their day straight away. Some minor bruising at the injection sites is possible.
Results are not instant. Changes typically begin to appear over the first several days, with the fuller effect usually settling in around two weeks. For many people, results may last around three to four months, though this varies from person to person depending on the area and how the body responds. Your injector will talk you through what is realistic for your situation.
Aftercare and what comes next
Your injector will give you simple aftercare guidance before you leave. In general that means staying upright for a few hours, avoiding rubbing or massaging the treated area, and skipping strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for the rest of the day. Most people carry on with the rest of their routine right away.
Because the full effect settles over about two weeks, we usually suggest waiting until then before judging the result. If you would like to fine tune anything, that is a conversation for a follow up rather than the same visit.

Common questions about Botox and neuromodulators
What is the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Nuceiva?
All three are neuromodulators that use botulinum toxin to temporarily soften muscle movement. They differ slightly in how quickly they take effect and how they spread. Which one suits you is something a licensed injector works through with you at your consultation.
How long do results usually last?
For many people, results may last around three to four months, though this varies from person to person depending on the area and how your body responds. Your injector will talk you through what is realistic for you.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most people find it manageable. The injections use a very fine needle, and discomfort is usually minimal and brief.
Is there any downtime?
For most people there is little to none, and many return to their day straight away. Some minor bruising is possible at the injection sites.
When will I see results?
Changes typically begin to appear over the first several days, with the fuller effect usually settling in around two weeks.
How do I know if it is right for me?
That is exactly what the consultation is for. A licensed injector looks at your features, listens to your goals, and is honest if a different approach would suit you better, or if the right answer is to do nothing for now.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the plan agreed at your consultation, since it varies by area and the amount used. We will go through this with you in person before anything is decided.
