About Our Lip Filler Service
Lip filler is one of the more common things people ask us about. It's also one we talk through carefully before anyone books, because plenty of our consultations end with a suggestion to start smaller, wait a few months, or skip it for now. The consultation matters more than the appointment.
When lip filler is the right tool, it's a hyaluronic acid injectable. At our clinic it's offered only after an in-person assessment with a licensed injector, because it isn't the right fit for everyone. Your medical history, what you're hoping for, your existing features, and the products and quantities that might suit you all get talked through openly before anything is decided.
The appointment itself is short. Numbing goes on first. You'll be in the chair for about 30 to 45 minutes from arrival to leaving, and you can stop or pause at any point.

Consultation
We sit down first. Medical history, what you're hoping for, what you're worried about. If lip filler isn't the right call for you right now, we say so.
Planning
If it is the right call, we walk through options. Product, quantity, approach. Nothing happens until you understand the plan and feel good about it.
Treatment
Numbing goes on first. The injection itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes once you're settled. You're awake, you're aware, and you can stop at any point.
Aftercare

Is lip filler painful?
Most people find it more uncomfortable than painful, and even that's brief. Numbing goes on first. Pain tolerance is individual though. If you're nervous about it, tell us at consultation and we'll talk through what to expect so nothing surprises you in the chair.
How long does lip filler last?
Duration is individual. The product, the amount, and how your body responds all play into it. We'll give you a realistic range at your consultation based on what would suit you. Touch-up timing is a conversation, not a calendar reminder.
Will I look like myself afterward?
That's the right question to be asking. Looking like yourself on a good day is what most of our clients are after, and it's what we plan for. We go carefully, we go slow, and you have full say at every step. We won't proceed if you don't feel right about the plan. We treat that as a firm rule.
What kind of swelling should I expect?
Some swelling, tenderness, and possible bruising in the first 24 to 72 hours is normal. Most of it has settled within about two weeks. You'll go home with written instructions, and you can call us if anything looks off in between.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Hyaluronic acid filler can often be reduced if you change your mind or it doesn't sit the way you hoped. We offer this as a separate service and discuss it at consultation. See our filler dissolving page.
Who is not a candidate for lip filler?
Lip filler isn't right for everyone. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infections in the area, certain medical conditions, and some medications are reasons we'd hold off or pass altogether. Your injector goes through your full history at consultation, in detail.
